Saint-Gobain Gyproc develops a new false ceilings solution in the United Arab Emirates
A new solution for suspended ceilings was developed by Saint-Gobain Gyproc UAE team.
The Gypframe Eco metal profiles featuring patented Serration Technology have a serrated design across the surface of the metal which doubles the effective thickness of the product and stiffens the material. As a result, these profiles attain higher strength capacity at a lighter gauge and increased sag resistance. Therefore, furring channels can be fixed at increased spans of 600mm centers instead of 400mm centers traditionally – reducing its consumption by 30% while minimizing installation time and costs. Gyproc proposes in addition two plasterboards specially designed for this solution: Regular Ceiling and Moisture Resistant H2, for rooms in dry or wet areas.
The use of these new products is perfectly in line with the Group’s sustainability approach: the profiles are made from high level recycled content and Gyproc offers recycling services to recover plasterboard construction waste.
