Saint-Gobain solutions win over Abu Dhabi

The first project of its kind in Abu Dhabi that caught our attention was the Yas Creative Hub. This 100,000 m² complex, designed to meet the needs of entertainment professionals, is scheduled to open at the end of 2021. Saint-Gobain Weber has already supplied more than 7,000 m² of external insulation systems (ETICS) for this construction. This will be followed by Saint-Gobain Gyproc partitions, some of which have been specially selected for their acoustic properties.

A second project is an invitation to relax and sunbathe. The future Waterfront Tower residential building, which will face the sea on 28 floors, will be equipped with several solutions developed by Saint-Gobain. Indeed, 6,000 m² of balcony ceilings will be made using Glasroc® X, External Ceiling and Direct Render Finish from Saint-Gobain. On top of that, 48,000 m² of Saint-Gobain Glass COOL-LITE® ST and COOL-LITE® SKN have been chosen for their high solar control, preventing solar heat from getting inside the building.

A third project, the Global Gateway residential complex, will be built in 2022 and is aiming for LEED environmental certification. It is a real success for our teams with the delivery of 120,000 m² of Weber Premix SP 11 plaster, 4,000 m² of Saint-Gobain Gyproc partitions and Saint-Gobain KIMMCO ISOVER insulating panels. Our Group was selected for the quality of its service and supply chain, based on its local manufacturing presence in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.
