Saint-Gobain's EPD roadmap
As part of Saint-Gobain, we are committed to making the world a better home, and collectively we care about building better for people and the planet by reducing the environmental impact of our products and operations.
Today 1800 products are EPD verified across 35 countries
What is EPD?
EPD’s are a validation tool that are important for both manufacturers – to provide transparent data about the environmental sustainability of their products – and specifiers to make informed purchasing decisions with simplistic design data.
How do we get certified?
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a third-party certified document (Type III Environmental Declarations ISO 14025) that clearly communicates the environmental performance lifecycle of a product from cradle to grave. It details how the product impacts the environment from raw materials to disposal, based on the completion of an LCA.
the EMME Roadmap
Carbon neutrality has been at the heart of Saint-Gobain commitments for many years and lives on today through our Net Zero Carbon campaign. This commitment is closely linked to our desire to provide our customers with solutions that help them reduce their environmental impact.
One of the actions we are taking to achieve this goal in the Eastern Mediterranean & Middle East Countries is to set an ambitious target to have all our products covered by an EPD third party verified.
Today the EMME counts 125 EPD verified products across the cluster, adding 170 products covered by an LCA report.
