Saint-Gobain on the right track in Turkey
The new TGV station in the city of Konya equipped with Saint-Gobain solutions.
Saint-Gobain has been chosen to equip the new TGV station in the city of Konya, Turkey. Located in the center of the country, it will handle more than three million passengers a year, with trains from this station serving Ankara and Istanbul. To create the façade of this five-story building, nearly 10,000 m² of Glasroc® X products are being installed. This new generation plasterboard was chosen by the architects for its ease and speed of installation, but also especially for its technical performance. Reinforced by glass mat, Glasroc® X is highly resistant to moisture, fire and UV while remaining lightweight. A real alternative to cement sheet, this solution is becoming increasingly popular. Manufactured in Turkey for two years, Glasroc® X saw its sales triple between 2017 and 2018.
